Thank u for the PM, my phone won't allow me to reply that way for some reason. If Andre could look into it I'd be very grateful, thank you!
I will ask Andre to look into it for you to see if there is a pattern emerging there if you...

That is what ALL dj's do here at TFM and unfortunately not all sets are rated with full 10's only. Not everone has the same taste. But we all have to live with that and blaming the rating system doesn't make sense, imo. If we should only let people vote 10's then why vote?

Besides, your sets are always rated high. Mostly just 10's and one 8.
Not much to complain about. The world just isn't perfect.

As a teacher I know it's not a perfect world and I know I'm not a perfect Dj! I want to be the best I can possibly be! I'd love feedback to help me get there! I just feel that someone has an agenda when all the comments are 100% positive :( I don't think it's fair to the djs that work hard to be criticised so negatively without one scrap of feedback!

More feedback in the forums, positive and negative is better indeed, but unfortunately people prefer just to listen and occasionally hit the vote button.

The few 'lower' votes in your last sets are from different persons.

Fair enough! I just hope people who read these comments see how passionate we are about djing for this station and maybe offer advise or think before they hit vote! It's disheartening to say the least!

With respect I don't really agree. I don't expect to get 10s for every mix but with the amount of enthusiastic feedback I don't understand why in the last 2 minutes of several mixes our scores have suddenly dipped. Anyone reading the tracklist would know if the mix was their style and if listening to the whole mix they would have formed an opinion long before the 58th minute. I often turn off mixes that use a lazy 9 tracks and I'm fussy when it comes to key clashes so if I am disliking a mix I switch off.

I never stick a low vote in and disappear without commenting why!!!

What would be progress in this area, in my opinion, is accountability & transparency. If someone doesn't think a mix is perfect - say why! As a teacher, we justify marks given and suggestions to improve, that's what I'm asking for here. What are the reasons for not doing so?

If you say its different people scoring low each time then fair enough, (and there's a grumpy malicious little person who votes low on Saturday mornings too) but I'm sure other DJs must get more than a little disheartened also. I'm passionate about delivering the best quality we can so positive criticism would be welcome!!

I've been reading this and have been doing some thinking. No one may see this but i'll post it anyway. One of the solutions may be for dj's only. You must registered to vote, if i remember right, but i think with privacy issues, no one can see who voted... at least not the public. I think that if the dj's are running the show, then i think they should be at least to see WHO voted on their set. I think the vote is intentionally made that way as to avoid any unsightly confrontations and to keep people's opinions private.

BUT!!!! You have to be registered to vote. That means that person actually had to go through the steps to create an account. They are in the database. I think that when you create an account, you essentially are taking the risk of placing your information on the internet. I think that maybe dj's, as long as the information remains private, should be able to WHO voted. It does not make sense to create an account just to vote badly. Sadly, I've seen people create an account just to make one negative comment. It's the world these days, and it is not right. But it happens.

    That's just my opinion.
